Guide Me Home by Kim Vogel Sawyer (4 Stars)
I received an ARC from Crown Publishing in exchange for an honest review.
NOTE: I want to make it known that I was unaware that this was a Christian (Historical) fiction book. I normally don't steer into that genre. But I did give this one a chance, because the author doesn't ram her values down your throat every other sentence. Which I respect. :)
Guide Me Home is about building a legacy. It's about growth, and each chapter builds and keeps building, despite whatever is going on in the plot.
I found the writing to be superb, along with the character development. I tried to read with an open-mind, since I'm not overly religious, and I'll admit there were some scenes where I couldn't relate.
That being said, I did enjoy this book. It was entertaining, and kept my attention.
My husband has since picked it up and adores it as well. :)
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is an avid Kim Vogel Sawyer fan. (This needs to be at the top of yours list!!!!) Also, to anyone who loves Historical. Many of this author's books are geared toward the Historical genre.
