Some books produce drama just for the sake of it.
But not this bad boy. Oh no-ho-ho!
The breakdown
Lead female: Tatum/Tate
Lead Male: Jared
The Plot: they were friends since damn near infancy, until out of nowhere Jared gets a stick up his ass and decides to be an asshole to her fo' life. He invests all of his time, energy, and manpower into taking down his former bestie with the help of his friends. He doesn't want anyone to date her, look at her, or even talk to her. The man is on a mission, I tell ya! He sleeps, breaths, and lives to humiliate Tate. He's the man version of "Regina George" in the high school world.
Top OH-HELL Moments of Bully.
1) Jared getting his friend to steal Tate's keys at the party, throwing them in the pool, and then relishing in watching her dive in to fetch the lil' bastards. Oh, did I mention she was wearing a solid white t-shirt? Yea....
2) When Jared decides to blast his music next door during a party...and Tate storms through his door, demanding silence! Only to be told: "Give me a lap dance and I'll send everybody home."
3) When Tate sneaks into Jared's house in a search for answers, thinking Jared is gone. But then he strolls through the bedroom in nothing more than a towel and a dripping wet chest to accompany him! ****ALMOST-PISSED-MY-PANTS Award
4) When Jared finally gets a little "somethin' somethin'" from Tate in the form of a first kiss, and she decides to play cat and mouse with thou' Romeo, declaring NO...All the while he stood back, hot and agitated....Um-um-um...
5)JARED'S A GONNA WHOOP SOMEBODY'S ASS...Or should I say: ass's. Cause' that's what homeboy spent 50% of this book doing. AssWhoopin.
6) When Tate has sex with Jared....and three days later, a video worthy of Ray J and Kim K starts making it's away around the school via text message!!!
The drama was there.
The character development was flawless.
