Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Warning: spoilers to follow
It would've been 5 stars, but the ending...No resolve? And why did Eleanor wait until Park had gone to prom with Cat to send him a damn post card?

I hated something fierce for Richie. I mean, I wanted to throw my kindle across the room and stomp on it repeatedly, hoping to kill the poor bastard. His stupid little comments on her book etc...And poor Eleanor...

Speaking of Eleanor: (And I apologize because this review is gonna be all over the place...)
Eleanor was a first class, straight A bitch throughout this book. At times I found it hard to tolerate, especially with Park's sweet ways. The tapes, comics...She was always starting an argument just to hear her own voice, I felt. And I get that she came from a broken home and had a bunch of shit going on, but really? He was the one good thing she had in her life, and the damn bitch couldn't call? Write? Made me feel like she had used him throughout her stay in Omaha.

Best moment, hands down: Park kicking some ass. I felt like a mother cheering her child on.

Worst moment, however: the ending. What kind of an ending was that? WTH? Seriously? No epilogue showing Park visiting for the summer or something?

Despite the constant POV changes, repetitive dialogue, and my overwhelming urge to kill Richie and smack sense into Eleanor, I was going to give this 5 stars. But then the ending...Well.
It wasn't up to par.
Nonetheless, I adored this book. (Especially, Park and his sexy, karate kicks.)
